Finding new careers for retired racehorses
One of our goals has always been to find new careers for our retired racehorses. Tiger One and Sloopy are the two people have heard of. Others have become show hunters, jumpers, or pleasure horses, which does not make the record books and matters just as much.
Placing a horse well takes knowing the horse: what it will tolerate, what frightens it, what it is actually built to do. That is a good deal easier when it was foaled here and we have watched it since it was a few hours old.
